Remembering Sze Wai...

What is the best way to remember someone that has passed away...
so its what everyone might hear after a year... so what its the truth - I want to remember Sze Wai in a positive way - with the life I have lived since, as she is a reminder that life can be fleeting and short... what have I done with it? What will I do with it? What am I living it for? Is it what I want it to be? - My answer... I'm growing there. To live life to the fullest for me, is loving God by what I say/do/express right now....

Things I'm thankful for:

- Graduating... hahah with a useless Arts degree ;)
<-- taken at 8am!!! ARGHHH was up since 6 that day.. booo booo!!

- Wonderful supportinig family/friends/church family...
*insert girl's bible study photo*

- Quality time with ppl I love...  and getting to see crazy places like the following...
- Splendour of the Seas - Greece cruise but it took a few side trips to get to this point....

- While NY had crazy security... I think our other option was flying through London Oo;; *coughs*
- We get out of a crazy 3 hour security check at NY and intensive days of sightseeing we hop in a car towards... Milano - Ciao!
- Car being towed somewhere between Italy and Switzerland...Dad realizing Europe uses Diesel... NOT the stuff we use here... darn.
-After being awed by the crazy narrow and winding roads of Switzerland we arrived back to Venice on the cruise to see...
Athens --->
Corfu -->
Dubrovnik-->

Interesting conversations to go with the family trip... oh there were more too bad I don't remember them...

Dawna asks mom, "Is dad an angry drunk?" while dad is driving
"I don't know, he's never gotten drunk but he always gets angry"

Justin asks mom, "Dad is so fat. Mom why did you let him get this way?"
"I don't know one day I woke up and he was already like this"

At the Interlaken (Switzerland) chalet room,
Crystal washing dishes
Dawna drying dishes
Dawna goes to the washroom
Crystal asks, "Hey where's the dryer" [dish dryer]
Dawna yells from the bathroom, "in the washroom"
Crystal yells, "Justin come dry the dishes the dryer is in the washroom"
Justin comes out with a hair dryer from the bathroom "Here."

Posting on xanga seems like such a trivial thing. Yet, it was one of the last things that she did

Sze Wai (Christy) Lee, 16 years old, didn't wake up on Sept 4, 2005... Ever again.

When I first found out, I cried at all that she left behind... just moving to a new place, learning to live without a mother, new school... new language... Within that time I had the privilage of getting to really know her. She was like the little sister, that understood what being a big sister was. She was mature for her age, serious about Christ, and was going to help her father and younger brother continue on. She was such a good girl, so bright. Her favourite pop idol was Lead - a jap boyband. She gushed whenever she talked about them. She wasn't very girly, but she was anxious to get started in learning about dresses, and skirts. Being a normal teen again.Yet, God allowed/decided to take her home early, due to reasons we cannot and will probably never understand. What I do know is, she is now with her mother in heaven, a far better place than we are in.

I miss her, my heart is heavy with sadness at seeing her go so suddenly at such a young age... I loved her, I'm going to keep praying that God take care of her while he helps her family move on...

Thank God for the little things -

This week hasn't been the best of weeks, 2 courses, a final saturday, midterm next wed... crazy readings waiting for me, isolation, crazy weekend coming... I guess the good thing about having all this time by myself to think (while I'm err studying...) is to remember the little things God is doing to keep my sanity alive this week.

- Mom came in with fruits today while I was studying

- Praise and worship to look forward to, to expell all this energy supressed this week

- Awesome weather

- Cousin's bday - a day out with people!

I'm sure there are more.. there was more.. but back to studying!
